This season, we have two fishing boats available for rental through our partner company onsite. One boat is a utility and the other is a premium option. Daily, weekend and weekly rates are available. As with any of our rentals, we encourage customers to book in advance, with a 25% deposit to ensure availability.

You be the Captain! Rent our pontoon boat, the Betty Lou, and enjoy a day filled with fun on the water with your family and friends on Lake Diefenbaker! Experience the Saskatchewan outdoors and scenery in comfort. There is seating for up to 40 people, swim platform, sound system, bar/kitchen area, BBQ, washroom and dance area on board.

Captain of the boat must be at least 19 years of age, provide proof of a valid Canadian Pleasure Craft Operator’s License and complete a brief boat orientation with Prairie Lake Vacations staff day of departure.
Boat must be returned back to Prairie Lake Vacations home base (near Riverhurst) before 5pm or late charges will apply.
Security deposit will be collected day of departure. This deposit will be applied to any outstanding charges including lost or damaged items, late returns, excessively unclean boat, or damage resulting from negligent operation or activity on boat. Deposit must be placed on the Captain’s credit card.
A 25% deposit on Day Rental Rate is required to secure your booking. Major credit cards, cash or cheque accepted. Deposit is retained if you cancel or change your reservation 48 hours prior to departure.

Yes, you heard right! Every lake has its monsters! Fortunately, the "monsters" found in Lake Diefenbaker are well liked! Avid fishing enthusiasts, as well as weekend warriors, come to the quiet coulees and bays of Lake Diefenbaker in search for the next world record catch! There are many species of game fish to catch, such as: Burbot, Goldeneye, Lake Trout, Northern Pike, Rainbow Trout, Sauger, Walleye, Whitefish and Yellow Perch. Over the past 6 years, the lake has been credited with these "monster" world record catches:
2014 - 13.3lb Walleye (Spearfishing) - Ganshorn
2010 - 25lb Burbot - Konrad
2009 - 48lb Rainbow Trout - Konrad
2007 - 43lb Rainbow Trout - Konrad
The good news is that there are still lots of great fish of all sizes to catch!
