Monsters of Lake Diefenbaker

Yes, you heard right! Every lake has its monsters! Fortunately, the "monsters" found in Lake Diefenbaker are well liked! Avid fishing enthusiasts, as well as weekend warriors, come to the quiet coulees and bays of Lake Diefenbaker in search for the next world record catch! There are many species of game fish to catch, such as: Burbot, Goldeneye, Lake Trout, Northern Pike, Rainbow Trout, Sauger, Walleye, Whitefish and Yellow Perch. Over the past 6 years, the lake has been credited with these "monster" world record catches:

2014 - 13.3lb Walleye (Spearfishing) - Ganshorn

2010 - 25lb Burbot - Konrad

2009 - 48lb Rainbow Trout - Konrad

2007 - 43lb Rainbow Trout - Konrad
